Glyn is currently the head of the Land Accident Safety Investigation Team of the National Transport Safety Centre in Riyadh Saudi Arabia. His role is to lead safety investigations into road traffic collisions throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In this role he is also developing the investigation capabilities of the centre and the Saudi investigators working there. Prior to leaving the UK Glyn spent over 10 years in a senior policy role in the Road Safety Division of the Department for Transport. During his time there he delivered IT solutions to aid collision reporting. He established and was the lead official in the joint Home Office/ DfT Roads Policing review. The review delivered the first inspection of roads policing by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary Fire and Rescue Services in over 20 years as well as a number of operational pilots. He also influenced the inclusion of roads policing activities as cross cutting capabilities in the Strategic Policing Requirement. Before joining the Civil Service Glyn served 30 years with the Metropolitan Police during which time his roles included those of Senior Investigating Officer leading a murder investigation team, a Borough Commander and the Operational Head of Roads Policing for the MPS.
